& metal-forming) and heat treatment

| These charged particles then enter the COLLECTION
CELL where the ground plates collect the particles by
virtue of electrostatic forces. An AFTERFILTER
improves air distribution and collection efficiency by
trapping any agglomerated contaminants, which
might blow off the cell. |
Working of Electrostatic Precipitator :
When contaminated air is drawn into the precipitator
through the suction hood, large particles are first
filtered in an inlet pre collector, then it passes through
an additional pre-filter to ensure even air distribution
and uniform particle size across the area. Then it
passes through the IONIZER, where it is subjected to
an intense electric field, which electrically charges all
the particles in the contaminated air stream.Power to the Ionizer and collecting cell is supplied by an
effective high voltage POWER PACK. A Safety Switch
(Limit Switch) installed on the main cabinet,
disconnects the electrical supply to the power pack
once the door to the collection cell is opened with the
ESP unit still 'on'. The Blower is mounted on clean side
of unit, which virtually eliminates all the blower related
maintenance activities. The indicating lamps on the
control panel indicate the status of the unit. |

Some Important Safety Features :

Span Filtermist Electrostatic Precipitator is
equipped with a unique Power Pack coupled with
safety switch (also called as limit Switch), which is
installed over its main cabinet, that quickly
disconnects the electric supply to the power pack
in case the door to the collection cell is left open
while the ESP unit still being switched on. |

the unit indicate the status of performance as
